At first sight Digi. Screen 90-12 reminds one of a television: The screen is on a metal stand, bright lights glow and ebb from it. It is in fact six flatbed scanners assembled to form a screen, which in their combination of light, movement and sound emanating from the devices creates an unexpected atmosphere.
It is not a high-speed television medium that confronts the viewer, but a slow meditative one. It is a fusion of two different aspects of our lives- the living room and the office- side by side calling new questions to mind. Does the scanner illuminate the room or is the viewer being scanned?
