Klang
Installation view "Mica" /// Strzelski Galerie Stuttgart /// 2014

It‘s often not a necessity within artistic processes that image and sound relate to each other. Without the intermingling of these two elements however, it often goes unappreciated to what extent sound and image can complement one another. The series of sound reliefs (Klangreliefs) started and exhibited for the first time in 2011 observes the relationship between sound and image.
The individual works play with the correlation between visual and acoustic and combine material, image and sound to a new form. The individual shapes serve as sound membranes used for picking up vibrations - the effect is always dependent on the size, density and position of the timber.
